We wish all our customers a safe and fun-filled Halloween!
And because we always emphasize safety in everything we do here at North Shore Fuel, we wanted to share some Halloween safety tips for your trick-or-treaters:
-
Children should wear visible, bright, light-colored costumes with reflective tape or stickers. They should also carry flashlights or glow sticks to be seen by drivers, especially at dusk.
-
Ensure that kids’ costumes are well-fitting to prevent tripping and do not impair vision. Choose face paint over masks when possible.
-
Make sure children walk – not run – on sidewalks.
-
Children under 12 should always trick-or-treat with an adult. Older children should stay in groups and stick to well-lit, familiar areas.
-
Trick-or-treaters should walk in groups with a “buddy system” to ensure everyone gets home safely.
-
Before crossing the street, kids should make eye contact with drivers – and never dart out from between parked cars.
-
Children should wait until they get home to eat treats. Adults should inspect all candy and throw away anything opened, unwrapped, or homemade.
As we said, we take safety very seriously at North Shore Fuel, from ensuring safe and dependable fuel deliveries … to performing safety checks during periodic maintenance on heating and cooling equipment … to helping improve your family’s health and safety with our indoor air quality solutions.
Happy Halloween from your friends at North Shore Fuel!
